Do radicals do anything?
Do radicals and loyalist have any impact in game or is it just a metric of how happy your people are?

Each individual Radical is tracked, and has both a State location and an Interest Group designation (although 'none' is a possible IG designation). When more than 25% of the pops in a State are unopposed Radicals that State is in Turmoil and has penalties and is more likely to join a rebellion; when an Interest Group has Radicals they add a scaled malus to that IG's loyalty.

wait what? radicals are the BEST way to pass anything and get things done fast. i recommend to have at least 20-40% turmoil at least in some states all the time, this triggers almost every great events + movements get high radicalism which is GOOD

No worries if you do but Im looking to use mechanics the way there intended even if it's worse, if i have to resort to cheese to play well id just play a different map game.
