Crash problem since 1.7.5
Since the last update, Vic3 keeps crashing, roughly every 5 minutes. I have followed a lot of "guide" to fix this, such as removing vsync, changing properties on the vic3.exe, etc...

I dont know if some people have similar issues and/or possible fix for this.

My PC :
RAM : 32gb
CPU : 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13600KF 3.50 GHz
GPU : GPU
AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX , VRAM 24560 MB
Windows 10

I run a proper game. At one save after 1917 the game would always crash. In another save I reached 1888 and the game just crashed

I did a clean reinstall, so i deleted everything.
I play without mod :/

For the logs, where can i find them ?

Thank you for your answer !
Same problem, but for me whole PC crashes, looks like GPU crashed caused by CPU. 12700k + 4090. This is hard hang, without any chance of getting logs. Paradox please fix.

logs are in my documents/paradox interactive/victoria 3/logs
run game in debug mode for full logs and delete all files in log folder before start to have clean logs. Also start in english, that you dont get too full logs from localizations errors.

dont change properties of Victoria 3.exe, i found out the game dont like any of that changes. with admin mode it always crash

no one can fix anything without finding out the real problem.

Thank you, i checked all the logs, and there is several errors, but they seems non-critical, as they appear on Vic3 forums and are considered "normal", such as :
Error: "Failed to read key reference: autonomous_investment_pool: autonomous_investment_pool, near line: 1" in file: "" near line: 1

My problem seems awfully similar to this lad problem :
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/victoria-3-crash-error-failed-to-read-key-reference-autonomous_investment_pool-autonomous_investment_pool-near-line-1-in-file-near-line-1.1695059/

And i know for sure my Ryzen and its drivers are good, so it seems that its a problem from paradox side, that affect particulary Big GPU users because of the new shaders

that error i never had so i cant say anything to it. i got similar ones and found out they are only about problems in savegame , not in regular files. when i delete the lines from savegame the error not listed anymore.

it seems is something about the engine and writing about savegame

So, i did a second completely clean reinstall, with a new game, and same crash occured every 5 minutes. And as stated on the vic3 forums, it seems that it coms from Vic3 new/uptated shaders not mixing well with high end GPU, as many have similar issues while running on high end nvidia or ryzen. And the solution proposed by the moderators on those post (basicaly clean reinstall of the drivers) doesn't work.

So, in my opinion of what is hapenning to me and to several other users, is that basicaly Vic3 is unplayable for some high end gpu users because of a bug/bad optimisation/other from paradox side, and most probably because of the shaders.

Dammn bro having the same issue. Kept crashing constantly and reinstalled the whole game, deleted documents nothing worked.

Keep on crashing during MP and single player it happens a lot during 5 speed even lower. So its a tragic fap moment for sure lad. :(

Hello there, I can see folks have tried out a few options already, it would be good to talk to our tech support folks[forum.paradoxplaza.com], we have people better in place to identify and potentially help fix the issue! Please provide as much detail about the crash as possible so we can help fix it either through support or pass it on to the dev team to fix in a future game update if needed!
