How to get recognized?
I'm great qing, but just qing to the rest of the world apparently, because they won't recognise me.
My army is the greatest in the world, my GDP is the biggest in the world, and I have a near infinite supply of Quingians.
I kicked Spain out of the philipines, which bumped up the recognition meter, but it depleted again. Then I took a bite out of Russia (and got a huge infamy hit), they conceded, and I got a temporary bump in the meter again. But also a truce, so the meter emptied again.
Now I started another war with Russia, and took another bite and the meter is halfway full again, but by the time I kick russia again, it will be empty.
So how do I get it full now? Everyone hates me because of my pestering of Russia, so no embassies. Attacking the major powers is difficult, as I would have to do a naval invasion in Europe. I can invade the US, since I managed to steal california from Mexico.

So how many major powers do I need to slap around before the bloody meter finally fills?

You need good relations with a Gp, top 50 Sol and literacy above 40%. Voting rights and no isolationism helps

Just click on a recognition journal entry. All conditions are written here.

I accomplished this as Japan and I found that you need the majority of the advance conditions met in order to move the bar. It took me all the way until 1920 to get it though...

It's pretty wild how arbitrarily thresholded it is now.

Japan historically became considered a world power after it's light start to industrialization and the battle of Tsushima.

Now you'd have to fight 50 battle of Tsushimas in a few years and be top economic power to even have a chance for some reason.

I agree it is really hard. You have you either be everyone's friends or get a ton of infamy fast.

It depends on goals, so if you go to war with a gp, and take some wargoals, 3-5 you get recognized fast.

for some reason transfer subjects doesn't count. Ban slavery, humiliation, release countries does good. But still this all is stupid, If I can kick GP I am quite likely don't need any recognition. For now Best way I found is to disassemble EIC by joining with GB into any war and then attacking IEC subject, then capitulate. Then it releases Bengal that you can kick for release Assam, ban slavery, humiliation and war reps. Maybe Brazil is also a way in but so far whenever I attack em someone joins, and my army cant handle any GP on land
