'Earning Recognition' Journal Entry Broken
In my Persia game the journal entry is stuck at 0. I have researched Civilizing Mission. I've satisfied a majority of the conditions to gain points. I've even defeated Great Britain in a war.

Still stuck at 0%.

I'd honestly cheat at this point. It's 1905, I wanna play around with the power-bloc things.

was it a save before the hotpatch? I believe they changed it to make it easier and better but it could mess it up with a current save.

Pretty sure it was the hotpatch itself that broke it. I'm not able to do get recognized at all while playing japan today (new save),but I did quickly in my last playthrough yesterday

New patch definitely screwed up the mechanic. It was fine when the update was first released.

Ok, good to see that I am not the only one having trouble... I assume that some of the SoL and GDP per Capita requirements prevents any progress. People online who argue that the recoginition is easy only go via war goals against majors and the embasy thing you can do every 10 years... But at the moment it feels like a late game goal which on the top prevented me for using the new powerblocks at all (1906 Japan, an still not recognized...)

Update : enforce a war goal on a great power and you instantly get recognized

It's possible (and kinda makes sense) to get recognised by increasing your GDP and SoL. You have to go quite a long way down that path, but it's satisfying when you finally achieve it. (Like you need to be ~top 20 SoL and ~top 5-10 in GDP, i.e. into Great Power territory).

Once again, it's not a case of "the game's broken", it's a case of "it's changed and I haven't learned how to do it under 1.7 yet".

I just did that today as China. Didn't work. Stuck at 0, and France continues to decline embassy request despite having +71 accept score.

So, what made you start out as Persia?

Actually you dont need to be top 20 in sol and gdp per capita , i play herat
and having around top 50 of these two and 50% literacy and the progress is start going

How to get subjects recognised? As a sovereign empire having unrecognised powers is just harmful but some are useful.

Another update : The best way to get recognized is to enforce a liberate country wargoal in the country's territory. I was able to liberate scotland from UK in 1838 as China and progress jumped to 200 instantly,I just wasn't recognized because I had no friends lol
