How does assimilation work?

I got native discriminated pops that are in there homeland state whatever that means which is mine now, can I assimilate them at all? Or are pops forever discriminated.

I was just playing with assimilation, i new it was pretty weak, but it really does do anything lol. Even with migrants.

Yeah it’s quite pointless. I tried to play the assimilation game once but it’s tedious with too few positive effects.

Any way to purge natives, all they do is breed and get upset?

I think it's more to represent what happened to pops that moved from Europe to the U.S./Canada over time. They lose their original culture and become assimilated with the new culture.

You can change Foreign Pops using various Military Techs such as Machineguns, Flamethrowers, and Mustard Gas.

These will change Foreign Pops into Dead Pops.

so basicaly paradox is AGAINST assimilation being what it is in reality, you FORCING a culture onto a population and shifting them gradualy... dont make me regret playing this game more than they did already with their failure of implementing influence sphears and power blocks...

There is a mod that permits (slow) assimilation of pops even in their own homelands.
