That the sun rises in the west...
I just think it shows how little they care when a selling point of a DLC isn't even done right. It seems so simple too, just make the sun rise in the east and set west. We literally paid for immersion breaking DLC that was sold as an immersion enhancer. And it is still broken.
I do not have high hopes for this game moving forward.
As for the sun rising in the west, well, that's just dumb but honestly, I don't notice it. I like having a day-night cycle in my games where it is applicable - I really liked Civ 6's cycle too and ANNO 1800's is beautiful.
As for the OP's question - I honestly have no idea. I think we're going to have to wait until the dust has settled after SOI drops. It's release is going to be very ugly for many reasons. This game has acquired a 'vulnerability' that CK, EU HOI and Stellaris don't have. If SOI bombs, that's probably the end of the Vic franchise. If it's okay, not fantastic, well, yes, perhaps there will be a second season.
Now I know some of you will jump on that 'okay, not fantastic' as some indication of me having low standards. That's not what I'm saying - just that I don't think it needs to be a remarkable success for it to get more support.
