1. Half the stuff is not even properly explained.
2. You have way too much micromanagement.
3. The general's AI is whack, they may send their army half across the world.
4. Oh god, the bugs. Especially the pathing bugs. You can't even play an US campaign without your troops getting stuck in the Rockies or southern Midwest.
I haven't experienced many bugs so i must be fortunate in that regard. As for too much micro management? Too much micro management compared to what? Eu 4 has way more micro management involved. As for the for not properly explained, what isnt properly explained in the combat features? Its all pretty straight forward it tells you what increases your attack and defense it even tells you if you have too many cavalry and artillery compared to infantry. Wars in this game require very little micro management unlike eu 4 where i have to pay attention to every single battle and reinforce my armies.
Half the combat mechanics are hidden as well. Why did it use only X batallions to attack, despite ten times as many in reserve? Why would it defend with Y?
Now to the bugs. You have pathing issues all over the map, it's just impossible not to run into them. Also, there are problems with batallions not appearing. The whole barracks system is likely to be a makeshift solution due to how clunky it is.
For now I would be satisfied if they fixed the sometimes weird front developments that leads to armies start shuffeling along the front.
why does it feel like you barely go to war in your games if you do any major war you will notice these bugs
I have to say since 1.5 I have been notified reliably about every Naval Invasion. This was way worse before and works now I think.
I would however critizise that the large power AIs pretty much try to naval land in your capital which is just pretty stale and stuipid, cause it wears their forces down unnecessairly.

Also another bothering point came up yesterday: I had Persia puppeted as the Ottomans and France Naval invaded them. Persia had send their army away to some front and I, as the overlord, was not allowed to station troops in the Persia HQ because I myself did not have any land in the Persian region. Since there is no way to "advise" my puppet to withdraw their troops to their home HQ I missed my best chance of fending of the French, because I could engage them until after they finished their unopposed landing -.-
This needs to be fixed and/or we need options to at least advise the puppets military actions to some degree, like in EU4: Stay home/defend home countries/be agressive etc.
