Changing Laws
Voting to implement dedicated police force. I watched a 75% chance to pass dwindle to 5% over the course of 10 years.

The changing laws system is atrocious and just ruins the game. Make it so I can force a law with some kind of debuff dependent on how long I have been sitting... waiting.. for RNG to determine if I can have fun with the game or not.

Simply force the game to reroll the RNG by reloading and changing the tick date. This can be done by changing the surplus authority value, or by raising/lowering taxes.

But yes, the current system is extremely stupid, lacks in flavor, doesn't have any failsafes and is generally a nuisance. Hopefully, they will finish it someday...

Ah, i tried to save scum it and kept getting repeat results. I will try your method. Honestly, a relief to hear theres some way to work around this bad system.

Save scum? You mean for debate actions?

Something I've learned from another game developer, they program the game to generate a sequence of random numbers in advance, and apply the numbers to each sequential decision.

e.g. In a Panzer General game, program may have stored sequence of 55, 93, 72, 00, 22...
Unit A attacks Unit B, roll against initiative = 55
Roll against to hit = 93
Roll against defence = 72
Roll against casualties = 00
Roll against suppression = 22

So the dice roll has been predetermined. But the sequence of using the dice have not.

Anyway, in the case of V3, I think they've already applied random number as soon as the decision journal appears.

Pretty much why i prefer games with tangibility rather than Rng.

I'm OK with the law system. you either had a large movement against your law form or maybe one of the party leaders died and changed the % chance.

Just kick the opposing party out of government and suppress them when picking a law, it's really not that difficult to manipulate the setbacks to pass anything with a bit of planning.

Enacting banned slavery while angry landowners are still over 50% and a revolution is at 90-95% is funny.
