Well, they also promised to fix the crashes with this patch, but look how that turned out.
Until it's fixed, be it with the next patch, or maybe later, simply get a mod.

Wish they'd implement something like HoI so if you have enough ships to cover your convoys then any attempts to raid your convoys will always begin with a combat against the enemy raiding fleet.
I rage quit over the inverse, my navy was slaughtering Spanish convoys on the order of 100's and 1000's per day and their economy had NOTHING and they were completely fine. Apparently nations don't need food and armies don't need weapons for the AI. Plus it had zero effect on their willingness to wage a war.
How is it a net positive effect for humans, when it only effects human players? My economy was ruined by the AI, there was nothing I could do about it, I couldn't even do the same damage to them.
I haven't got deep into the wars yet, is that true, you can't really starve the AI countries out?
