How do I add artillery to my army?

So I'm playing as Joseon in the early 1850's currently, I have unlocked the artillerytechnology but I can't seem to add the artillety formations to my units, I don't even find any icon for doing so

help! I need to kill the chineese!

It seems you can't produce artillery-focused barracks unless you have access to artillery. Build an artillery factory and see what happens.

It's usually easier and faster to just import a missing good via trade route instead of waiting months until a factory is finished. Also without demand the factory won't hire (much) workers.

Well, you cant "add" artillery to your army. U have to train them as Battalions in your Army Formation.

I'm importing Artillery and still do not see the button to add artillery as Venezuela. The country starts with Cannons researched

Select your army. Add artilery piece. Start construct a barracks for it. Then just wait...
