Sure there should be a clear line and ppl should follow up, but you still are talking to and about other human beings.
I don't know why so many people loose it like they simply argue with a plain text and not a real person.
And where humans are involved it's hard to have clear lines. Look at the streets and tell me all ppl follow the rules instead having their own interpretation 🤷♂️
But yes, nobody uses those forums, for a reason, not like they could even if they wanted to, it's impossible to have a conversation about anything over there.
But some communities seem to be far worse than others, I don't know how the vic3 community is like, haven't interacted much.
Every other thread posted on any game's Steam forum is a salty mess of incoherent ranting, slurs and other fun. Y'all need to grow the heck up.
Tell me more, im intrigued abut how I circlejerk with others...
I see ppl there also talking about the same bugs as here with the difference of talking about the bugs and not the "bad devs". I see ppl helping out instead of calling out...
And I also see ppl arguing. But still they dont loose it like here.
Quite funny to imagine ppl that write about their frustration (more the way HOW they do) talking like this in reallife to others and after that complaining that noone ever is listening.
Generally it is the disaffected and the fanatically loyal who post, while perhaps the majority aren't motivated to post. This is bad, wrong, doesn't make sense, should work differently, etc. vs the 'don't mess with my game' players who disapprove of what are probably intended as helpful suggestions or pleas for improvements.
Publishing has really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up paradox int. so the best we can hope for is that the loss of profit scares their investors.
Won't be surprised when this is locked/removed.
Strange considering I used that pfp in their servers for years, interacting with multiple admins directly, before a particular admin decided he didn't like my tone about the progress of vic 3.
Yeah that's really weird about PDX forums but also all corporations really. Steam, discord, you name it.
Almost invariably "no politics" "community guidelines" mean that they will unreservedly push politics they want to push, and ban anything they don't want to see.
Moreover, even mentioning "hey guys this PFP of your mod is questionable politics" might be bannable, since there the only rule is that owner corp is always right.
