@Bapito
The first unification (northern states) or the second one (whole germany)?
I became a major power
All of a sudden Prussia unifies north Germany and soon after the rest of Germany
(even though most of the south german states were my subject)
I reloaded to an older save and jacked my prestige up to become a great power again
(I though that was the problem, maybe the game registers great powers as candidates)
2 months after I became great power again, in the exact same dates as before, Prussia does it's thing
I couldn't even do a leadership play, only support Prussia
maybe I continue this campaign as a egalitarian Danubian federation type of thing, I mean, I'm the only European nation with census suffrage after all
Just use main menu and change. Maybe this teaches you (and after that maybe us) a thing or two.
Or upload the safegame and pass it over. Im intrigued ^^
I swiched to Prussia and the requirements for the NGC were:
-Prussia has researched Nationalism
-Prussia is a unification candidate for Germany
-At least one of these
--Austria is controlled by a player (???)
I have NEVER seen this before
another thing to note is that Prussia was on it's way to lose a power ranking and were becoming a major power, though there wasn't enough time till they unify, and the requirements of controlled by player didn't seem to matter
Also I forgot the mention that I was in pretty good relations with Prussia, hoping that I could unify more easily
I cant remember i saw this requirement before, but i guess it was shown bc you started with the austrian nation and switched to Prussia.
I think this is supposed to be a balancing thing, but not sure if i like it.
