How do I get rid of peasants, seriosuly…
I know that my game is bugged right now I have no clue what’s caused it but as Japan I’ve colonised Hokaiddo and yes it starts off as incorporated but the issue here is that there are 15k peasants just waiting to be thrown into the mines and work awful wages in factories but the problem here is that for god knows whatever reason, they wont go to work in them nor any building that isnt a subsistence farm, so like okay even when I built a university there and put the decree for social mobility, STILL they do not work, okay okay better idea let me do greener grass campaign decree so more people will just immigrate there and work right? ♥♥♥♥ no because they immigrate to Hokaiddo and what do they do? NOT WORK, there are roughly like 20k unemployed people nevermind peasants in Kanto alone and it has a incredibly low migration attraction because of it so you’d think Hokaiddo is like heaven in comparison CLEARLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NOT. Paradox plz fix.

The Problem there I think is, that they earn enough money in the Subsistence Farms and aren´t willing to change jobs.

So I would try to build a farm (Yes I know, you don´t want to hear it). Reason is, that you push down the prices for the goods of the subsistence Farms and make them less profitable and therefore the income of the peasants lower so they are willing to change jobs to Farm and later to the Mines and so on.

Also building Farms reduces the arrable Land available for Subistence Farms so that may also be a Strategy to push them out of these jobs, depending on the Number of arrable Land on Hokaiddo.

"Why are these comfortably autonomous human beings not hurling their bodies into my mines and factories like waves breaking on the shore? No I won't force them into poverty by undercutting the value of their livelyhoods, that would require me to put effort into managing my political system!!"

One option is to import wheat without tarrifs making their products sell for less and the mine job be more attractive.
Works also when aristocrats have huge sway due to wealth from farms.

Salaries of 4x the subsistence farms (as was my case) isn't enough to attract peasants to factories, it would be better refrain from talking about a subject you don't understand.

yep pretty much my problem, no matter how much more my factories or mines are willing to pay it just isnt enough for them to want to start working literally anywhere else, I had built there plenty of jobs there expecting people to migrate or leave peasantrie behind. :/

So you can only insult People and have no constructive answer to the Problem?

The peasants have low Qualifications. First you bring them into higher Jobs in Farms etc. and then they get more Wealth and Qualifications to take over Jobs in Mines and Factories. No peasant can automatically qualify for higher jobs.

And you continue saying things you appear to have no knowledge of...

I suggest paying more attention to the game social classes and their prerequisites, then you come give your constructive answer.

My constructive answer is that there is something weird on how job satisfaction is programed and it need to be fixed.

Hey imma let you guys argue but I just wanna say that the peasants simply dont want to swap to jobs despite having the qualifications because i had social mobility in Hokkaido to the point they had more literacy than most the states.
