HoI4 has like 7 years post release development. Have you played it in 2016?
That said, don't buy the game, anyone. Very scummy DLC practises and always releasing games unfinished.
Some examples of uniqueness:
-Some pops have unique "obsessions" like the chinese with opium, the french with wine etc, while all muslims have "taboos" for alcohol. This makes it an interesting mechanic because your pops need drugs like they need heating and clothing and food.
-Countries have unique events, journal entries (which are kind of like quests), geographical and geopolitical starting differences, and amount of discriminated pops vs. accepted pops, endless paths to take.
-literally no two countries are the same
I could go on but you dismissed the game from one guy saying no while being wrong so why bother.
bro... companies are just *click and forget* stat boost you want and some of effectiveness throughput, thats it
some will be historically named and have a bit better stat boost
wow so special
its literally like relics in imperator: rome
its insignificant, you interact with it only at the beginning of the game and 2-3 more times during playthrough, thats it
and most likely you will take same companies every playthrough cause only a few have good stat boosts, like food industry one giving birth rate
but that doesnt mean diversity and it doesnt mean more things to do, its literally almost nothing
I am a veteran from Vic2 and HoI4 and i am very glad the game moved out of those ♥♥♥♥♥♥ games, instead of planning and strategy HoI4 is about clicking real fast on 50 different things at the same time and exploiting the AI to do Luxenbourg World Conquest and Vic2 is farm prestige so weird international market system don't just ♥♥♥♥ you over without access to any goods and combat that again consist only of exploting the AI with a unrewarding amount of micro on late game that just made playing the game a chore.
Yeah, i will stick with a game that the combat isn't just about clicking fast and exploiting the AI, a market system that actually works and political mechanics that do any actual difference that is Vic3
Why do people post this nonsense? Are they completely unable to believe that anyone who played those games couldn't like Vic 3? I understand people not liking Vic 3 but why make **** like that up?
You can play Vic 2 like that if you want to. You don't have to.
You don't have to play Vic3 the same way everytime, but here we are on a "what makes a country unique" thread...
Honestly with the way the political and market system of Vic3 works it offers way more diversity in strategies than Vic2
