- Money. Stock market. Going mainstream.
I first learned about paradox games (specifically victoria 2) playing another completely different genre of game (a first-person shooter no less). The company had practically no marketing budget back then and relied on word-of-mouth. It really says a lot when people will plug your game in a casual conversation.
But these days it is all about marketing, and much less about substance.
I would be genuinely surprised if a single person at Paradox had voluntarily taken a history course in college, or read a history book since.
The simulation needs some work, but it is a way better concept.
This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game is last money they get from me and only because i couldnt refund in time.
