Paradox Launcher issues (Mac)

I've been playing Victoria 3 for several days on my Mac M1 laptop (Mac OS 11.6) and then this evening the Paradox Launcher failed giving me a lengthy JavaScript error message. As suggested on other websites I've tried deleting the 'Paradox Interactive' & 'paradox-launcher-v2' folders in my Library/Application Support folder and relaunched the game in Steam but the issue reoccurs. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there any way around it?

Some launcher versions don't work on many macOS systems which run a macOS version older than 12. And I think the newest launcher version is still affected by it. The error probably started happening, because the launcher automatically updated itself to a version which doesn't work. Would it be possible for you to update to macOS 12 or newer?
If not, there are some more or less complicated options to get you a launcher version which works on your system. Do you own cities skylines, imperator rome or any other game which uses the paradox launcher?

I can't update to MacOS 12 as I'm running other (expensive ) audio software that won't work in MacOS 12. I do have EU4 (though it requires an update) and HOI4 but I can thankfully run these without the daft 'launcher' system.

Tell me about these more or less complicated options to get a launcher version which works!

Thanks! I ended up just launching the game directly from the Victoria3.ap as I don't use MP mode or any mods. Support at Paradox Interactive tell me they're working on an update for the Launcher to fix this issue.

I solved this by deleting the Paradox folder in my Documents folder. I saw some comment elsewhere last night.
