Help! Victoria 3 writes an endless error log until my entire HDD is full

Does somebody know this problem or how to fix it. It seems the entire time I play the game writes and endless error log into my user data on my main drive. It doesn't stop and gets bigger and bigger until my drive is full. Basically every few hours I need to stop the game and delete the file because I literally can't save anymore. I'm running on the newest game version and have verified the game files but it doesn't stop. It's not only annoying, it long term is probably gonna fry my HDD.

Edit: SOLVED Like Experica suggested it's an issue with playing Prussia/Germany. The mod posted down in the comments fixed it.

1. Known problem on some PCs.
2. Wait for official patch. Don't play the game until then. It could brick your HDD.

Temporary solution that you can try (success not guaranteed): reinstall whole game on D partition (or any other that is not system partition) and check if all PDX folders created by the game have proper permissions (right click on each folder then properties and security tab). Especially in C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Documents\Paradox Interactive and all laucher (dowser.exe) folders in hidden AppData folder. Google how to see hidden folders like AppData.

can i assume you were playing prussia?

Only noticed i had that issue its due to PDX has left a achievement check bug for Berlin conference when you colonise Africa it will generate alot of error logs you can fix it by downloading a mod from the workshop if i assumed you were playing prussia

This is a really bad if confirmed and repeatable. I doubt Paradox wants to be known as the destroyer of hard drives and players PCs. :/

Wow. I think you got it exactly. Started as Prussia and formed Germany. I actually wanted to get that achievement but it hasn't triggered, despite the fact I've got all 10 full states. That must be it!

Rob it hasn't happened to me since I installed the mod I posted above. Maybe give it try. Otherwise I don't know what to do either.
