Is mass conscription way to Op?

I do feel it's op like I was playing USA and went to war with Mexico. I just did mass conscription and toss them into front lines. Wasn't the best idea but it did win me the war but took like one million casualties

yea its pretty effective, tanks your economy for a while seemingly, but when a war is important.... throw the masses to the grinder.

At the current moment, mods such as best war, or other mods that increase the amount of brigades that are involved in a battle highly fix this issue. Although paradox said that wars should tank countries GDP's, due to the relatively small battalions in battles, GDP's become rarely affected. However, after I downloaded best war, I noticed that due to the large amount of dead and wounded, GDP's of all countries are much more affected. Thus, by having mass conscription and having a lot of conscripts dying, im sure it would tank your economy much more and cause a bit of game balance. Otherwise, yea def good in vanilla, and doesn't hurt your GDP as much as it should.
