How to play as Indonesia

I revolted as the dutch east indies and while i receive independence from the netherlands its still ruled by the dutch people. I played for a bit and no matter how I enact laws like Presidential republic, multiculturalism and others that match modern Indonesia its still called the Dutch East Indies :/

Is there a formable nation called Indonesia? You can check formable nations in either the culture or diplomacy tab, i dont remember which. If not, I think you're stuck with the Dutch East Indies name.

Hmm, maybe another oversight by Paradox, does the flag change? There is an option to promote primary culture/religion, maybe you will have to do that first then the option appears? Right click your capital state and promote primary culture.

If you don't see anything in the culture menu for forming Indonesia, try playing as some of the other countries in the region and see if they get the option, instead.

Ive checked most indonesian kingdoms they can form indonesia but they are insignificant powers :/
