I can tolerate a lot of problems if they're done right, since they're almost always trash in most strategy games.
Fair enough, its a good call if you want en economy sim with some flavour around, i recommend weatching a few videos , so you can make your own picture,
By nature of economic sim, ware fare is an important component. Since human civilization began, countries have fought other countries for strategic resources and location.
Not sure how anyone can say ware fare is irrelevant in an economic simulation. Not asking for EU4 movement, but war in its current state, sucks.
AI makes dumb border movement decisions, you’re able to press unenforceable claims. Saw a streamer go to war to change the government of a different country, pressed the claim and nothing happened. Why? Said country was missing the required tech
AI who had border and economic advantages, willingly took peace offer where they had to pay war reps.
I’m not sure if they have every historical event, but I do know quite a few of them are in the game.
As for flavor, from my current experience each country pretty much plays the same, except they have different starting conditions. Like Japan can grow to U.S size, but it takes a lot longer due to its initial laws.
Maybe this feeling will change as I play more, but for an economic simulator it’s meh.
That's a good warning. And a deception. Thank you.
How many countries were you able to actually play in 4.5 hours? I’m only about 20 years into my first country after about 6 hours. How in depth was your experience with each country if you tried them all?
