How long does an average 100 year game take?
Hey, I was wondering how long a 100 year playthrough would roughly take. Is the game slower than Crusader Kings as example, where we have more years?

It all depends on how fast you play.

If you try to not waste resources, always have some infamy burning off, never let cash reserves fill up, etc... To play as efficiently as possible and dominate the world then it can take a few days to get there.

If you just max speed 5, play sloppily, let construction queues get empty, let infamy reach 0, let cash reserves fill up, etc.. You can basically watch the world do their own thing and end the game in a couple of hours.

That's a more you issue, because you can play the game on 5 speed and finish it quite quickly or play on the slowest speed and take ages.

Thanks, this gives me an idea. I was just wondering if it's a game where you constantly have speed 5 or if you'd need it a bit slower paced more often, to really efficiently play it :)

It's not like you have to, it's more like a thing you can do.

If you generally keep it to yourself, just build factories and trade with the great powers, never get threatening towards their positions they will happily leave you alone, or even get in your side to defend against any foreign invaders, so you also can, totally, just skip time if you want to.

Won't get very powerful doing so tho. It's kinda like playing as a duke of a giant empire in CK and watching time fly, never scheming, never trying to get more claims, never aiming for the throne, never doing any wars.

My current game is about a year per hour, as I like pausing and planning stuff and checking out what's happening in the rest of the world. I should probably try to go bit faster.

heavily depends on the size of the nation you're playing
