Incorporate State Takes 20 Years

Anyone have any advice on incorporating North and South Dakota in a USA play? It has said it'll take 20 years to incorporate due to the Dakota having the Homelands. Even with the majority of the population now being Yankee, that 20 years hasn't changed. I also have decrees on both Dakotas to increase assimilation and education. Any advice?

I've been looking for a quicker process myself on this. I have read that Admin buildings help, but not sure the limits or how much they help? I also looked for a console command to speed this up, haven't found any yet. As a nation that is trying to expand it's borders, this is very annoying having to wait 20 years...LOL.

US needs to complete certain journal entries to get a tag on their western states to get them down to 24 months for incorporating.

So, there are two journal entries, and if you complete them, you can incorporate their historical possessions in 24 months (2 years, instead of 20).

Just check the journal at game start and read through until you find the two entries for this... one might be Mexican Cession or something like that?

I haven't noticed this too much, and I didn't directly go out of my way to complete journal entries. I think it could be a matter of promoting infrastructure and population in the state. I noticed cost and speeds to incorporate drastically going down the more I work in the state and maybe surrounding states.

Okay, I figured it out. After taking the first of the Mexican War goals (Wyoming, Montana, etc.), they were all added as Homelands for the Yankee and Dixie cultures. This was completed around 1870.
