The German Empire and the North German Confederation

Hi. I'm playing as Prussia and formed the North Geman Conderation, after incoperating 17 minor german states I could finish the task "unify germany" however the name of the state ddin't changed. Did I missed something?

Nope had the same. Formed Germany during a huge war with france, spain and the ottomans for alsace lorraine. while france capitulated and I got the event to form germany the TAG didnt change and I didnt get the achievment (on Ironman). GJ Paradox. Hope that gets fixed for all of those who achieved it!

i looked into the event files and apparently they forgot to add the line "change_tag = GER" to the event, so your country tag doesn't change by completing the event.

The event isn´t supposed to from germany, you have to do it manually through the "nation formation" tab (in the cultures tab or F8), there you can simply choose to from germany

Actually, before I've learnt about this tip, the game quite confused me about what my missing "South German Confederation" is to form German Empire. ---- If not Baden-Württemberg or Bavaria, then yes! They made it Austria!

NefariousDemon - Thank you for the valuable advice, it worked for me. However, title doesn't change to Kaiser of the German Empire...stays as King. Yes I know Wilhelm I remained King of Prussia but he was bestowed the title Kaiser/Emperor after the formation of the German Empire...would have liked that part but oh well.
