AI invading decentralized nations?
I know that as a nation yourself you cannot make war goals on decentralized powers as there's no central govt to declare those goals on, which is fair enough. However, I've seen the AI do it? I was playing as Chile, working my way towards colonizing the Mapuche, when the Argentinians just went ahead and declared war with an annex goal? Is this part of Argentina's journals and a one-time-thing, or can the AI freely just take out decentralized nations while I can't do the same?

its not the ai declaring on the decentralized power.

It's the decentralized power declaring war on the ai nation.

Likewise, when you play as America, the indian nations will declare war on you several times, even though you can't do the opposite.

a similar thing just happened in my game, but in the dip play it says that Argentina is the initiator, and Guarani is the target. So, AI declaring on decentralised power? How?

Game probably treats it as colonizing is the act of war. So while you can;t directly declare on a decentralized power, pissing them off enough will cause them to defend themselves against your aggression (via colonizing).

Main thing being it give gives you access to a bunch of land around your colony quickly.
