Istanbul Should be Called Konstantiniyye
Konstantiniyye wasn't renamed until the 1930s. It should be called that at least until the Ottomans change government form to a republic.

No need for the asshattery. My point, which was more of a CK2-3 nod and a joke was that it should still be called Constantinople TODAY.

At least think it through once before you are posting something.

Constantinople and Konstantiniyye is the same name in different languages, one is english and the other turkish. Since the city was controlled by the Ottomans at the time this game covers, it should be called Konstantiniyye, not Constantinople.

By the way it was not obvious at all that you were joking as you claim.

Constantinople isn't even the Greek version of the name.

That's the anglicized version of the name of the old Greek colony around which Constantinople was built. With English letters Constantinople would be called Constantinoupoli(s) in Greek.
I thought it was renamed recently to Erdogan?

i think it is containt that we lost. it should be an event where if there is a reb. in the ottoman empire and the monarchy goes down there should be a decsision to rename the city which will increase militency of orthodox pops while gaining a modifyier for consistent militency loss on turkish / accepted culture pops.

@Palaiologos, just educate yourself a little bit and google when Konstantiniye was renamed to Istanbul.

I am quite familiar with the history, lol. Turkey wasn't going to have their capital with the same name as the king of the country they just fought a brutal war with. Like, come on now.

>they made ankira their capital.
