Magnificent Hides, are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me?

In order to ride a Kasha, one of the lower end beasts, you need 8 magnificent hides only 2-3 drop from the elite kasha at a time. That's one of the most asinine, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, unimaginably gated things I've ever seen in a video game. Seriously, ♥♥♥♥ you, developers. ♥♥♥♥ you.

To Be Honest with you, I was a bit peeved at that too. The saddle also requires numerous hides as well, which requires you several fights with the Elite Kasha. These things also do quite a number on your armor, making it expensive to fight them every time.

Even after getting the saddle, I feel that it was too much work for such little reward. Kasha mounts aren't even that good, and their tails get in the way more often than not... lol.

I can probably see kashas utility in a pvp server since they can teleport into a house. pve, they don't really serve much purpose than to keep the rider invisible from monsters

Yeah, it's ridiculous. Those magnificent hides are needed for all the new saddles pretty much... along with other elite drops...

The Elite Kasha is easy to kill. Use a bear. As for the Kasha itself, it is actually the fastest mount before you get into the mysticals. As well as it has a very strong attack. Try different buttons and such and you will see.

As for the Magnificent Hides, they are easy to get. Kill the Elite Kasha on a bear as you only need to do it on foot for a quest not the hides themselves. All but one elite is an easy kill with the bear and the one that isn't, is an easy kiting kill as a gorgon.

Also once your able to start doing the named kasha, you will get more hides there as well.

The dlc has the elite farming in mind with those recipes and the way of advancing in crafting and character development. You have to find out how to get on farming mode with them and everything tones down a bit. Caging them is the easiest way. Unfortunately you can't do that with some bosses lol.

sometimes the vendor will carry the saddles as well. Surprised me to see them, don't recall if there is a limit on which ones they carry.

try this on a populated server when u have 8-12 tribes camping the altars

Yea, the new map is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess when playing on populated servers. Too many rez camps posted all over the map for people to camp shrines. I HATE the whole shrine idea, especially with the cooldowns. Another sad fact is the lack of creatures to ride that are worth a damn. Can't wait til they open the portal back to Archos. The new weapons and maybe 1 of the new mounts will be worth taking back. No dungeons or events to keep you interested end game. Just annoying terrain and repeat boss farming.
