Dark Magic

I have not made any progress in Dark Magic. I have been playing for sometime now at level 60 and I am stil at level 1 for Dark Magic. I have been doing all the suggested activities in Dark Magic. I did notice that I am making progress at level 4 with the new content. Will I have to delete my current Avatar and make a new one to fix this problem?

Are you able to craft the rune of dark vision (looks like an eye)? If yes, crafting those might help.

Some of the text for leveling some skills is wrong. Dark Magic is one of those. You will see a progress bar when a skill is leveling. Try all the different things to find what will level it. It should be one of the things listed, but not all of them. I posted about this, apparently they wanted to make it harder, but neglected to update the listed items that level it.

I can confirm this is correct. I leveled my dark magic all the way to max with rune of dark vision. I made regular drain spells to get up to rune or dark vision.

I hadn't played since the patch, I had mine to level 3, but now level 2 is no longer learned. By adding all that extra stuff, they kind of messed this up. They should probably just give you a skill for free that is a lower one when they add it if you've already learned a higher one.

its easy to reach rank5 with crafting drain spells only.

I have crafted drain spells to no avail. Level 2 is still at 0%

For me it is house, will not nor ever has, moved past 0% rank one. Created a house, i have a huge dwarf manor build, windrider etc and built loads of house level items... nada not a move. Game seems to randomly have a hate on for anyone at any given time.
Dark magic has gone really strange since patch did have everything researched but now knowledge shows most as unlearned yet i can craft them still... i put it down to scary paches at haloween.

I understand. I did finally get the Dark Magic to level but it only seems to level when I craft the eye spell, nothing else works. Game seems to have lots of odd glitches. Maybe there ghosts!
