Snowy Fox

Anyone found one yet or know how to find it? I've been looking in the snowy areas of SoF but I haven't seen one so far!

Yes! Its part of the christmas update but I haven't found it anywhere yet...at least on SoF

Well I feel if you host a holiday event for a game, it should include all of the game, but even if it doesn't, tell people so they don't waste their time trying to find something that will never spawn. That being said, I would be fine with traveling to the new map for the new stuff if they would just allow transfers for my server, which they have disabled.

I'm hosting a server on the new map and havent found it on there yet either, so it's not just the old map! I looked all over yesterday and couldn't find one. If anyone knows how to get them that would be very helpful!

EDIT: Okie I just saw screenshots of some people with one in the new map so I know it is at least there...dont know about archos though...surely they didnt put them in one map only :/

Sadly that seems to be the case. Thanks for trying to find answers for us all tho. Everything now seems to be focused on the new map. Really sad.

I havent actually run into the fox personally but a few people have uploaded screenshots of it if you look at the most recent screenshots uploaded!

But gees I'm sorry guys :/ I had assumed that the fox was in both maps as they didnt specify it was in just one...

Hi guys! I have some more information on the fox!
The friend that I play with found the spawncode for it so she spawed some in as we couldn't find them at all in our SoF server. We learnt a few things:
They only seem to be at level 1 (at least if you spawn them in). We theorised that if that is true for the wild ones, it could be that they are getting killed before we find them. I remember when turkeys were introduced and only a few were spawning in archos and I'd see one and a bear would oneshot it. IF we are right then maybe they are on both maps and they're getting eaten? Idk ;__; I'm just trying to be hopeful for you Archos people.
The second thing we learnt is that they give buffs to you when tamed...but (again, at least the one that we spawned in and tamed) didn't have an inventory so we can't feed it :/.

I forgot to ask my friend for the spawn code so when I next play with her I'll ask her for it if you guys want it!

No problem!

Even though you cannot put food in the fox's inventory they do eat from a feeding trough. I thought they didn't for a while and that it was just going to eventually starve... but after a long time, it finally ate.

I found a few on official SOF PVE1. I think they come from harvesting shrubs/grass. Tamed 2 but they seem to have a buff timer. I'm wondering if they disappear after the timer reaches 0.

Oh they do?? I tried that but had no luck, but I will try again!! They're probably uncommon now I think about it, like the turkeys.
I think if they're going to disappear then they have a timer like the rentable kebos and the celestial dragon...but I could be wrong...I will find out later when I start my server up and let you know!!

Looks like the buff restarts if you take them off your shoulder and then pick them up again!

arent they to be feeded by hand like the turkeys? when they wander around then its gettin difficult with feedin trough i think

Only with trough. Use arrows to knock out and then feed meat.

FYI, if you have one already on your shoulder and press E to pick up another, the other fox will glow green and dance lol
