I tamed a sheep by eastern outpost by chasing it outside, but the quest didn't complete... I think this quest has to be done on the original map? I think like 50% of this game is bugs...

Taming Quest Solution:
all the taming quests have had issues, they stated in the update notes that the problem was with distance from tame, be sure to be touching your tame when it completes for any of the quests as they were unclear how much distance was ok, and touching finished them all for me.
