So in my single player game on the dlc map i was able to summon a kasha but not a saddle for it.
Ive tried various codes for dlc items and none seems to work but i can summon in all the regular items no problem.

250 Volatile Pheromone and 260 Vermicular Spice are opposite.

To expand on this post, here's how you figure out how to spawn the creature you want (notably because spawn by ID doesn't work for certain creatures depending on map)


1) load up the Creature ID from the original post here - not all monster names correspond to in-game filenames! Find the _BP entry for the monster you want.

In this example, we'll use the Overseer, because it doesn't match its in-game ID - which is "beholder". Once you have that information, proceed to step #2.


2) Go to your DnL install directory, locate the following path: Content > TheShard > Characters > Monster. Inside, look for your monster of choice - in our case, the folder name is "Beholder" (may not match - look inside)


3) You will need to tell the game where this monster's data is, so that it can spawn it for you. The path you specify matches the folder structure, beginning from /Game/Content/... For our example, the 'Beholder' monster is located in /Content/TheShard/Characters/Monster/Beholder, so we'll plug that in.


4) Finally, construct your summon command:

Remember to replace "/Content/" with "/Game/" in the path. Here's our partial result

cheat SpawnDino "Blueprint'/Game/TheShard/Characters/Monster/Beholder'" 1 0 0 1

This, of course, doesn't work yet -- we haven't told the game which file to load, and from there - which entry from the file.

In most cases, this will be the _BP ID you saw earlier - in our case, "Beholder_character_BP_C". There's a file named "Beholder_Character_BP.uasset" in the "Beholder" folder, and that's the file we want (it usually has the words "_Character_BP.uasset" in the name).

So we need to tell the game to load that monster, and that particular entry from it.

Our final command looks like this:

cheat SpawnDino "Blueprint'/Game/TheShard/Characters/Monster/Beholder/Beholder_Character_BP.Beholder_Character_BP'" 1 0 0 1

... and this is how you load arbitrary monsters on arbitrary maps.


Yes, it also works on items, resources etc. so if your "giveitemnum" command doesn't work, try using "GiveItem" with the Blueprint path for the objects (I can confirm it works for the teleporter scroll/destination combo in DNL_ALL).

Yes, this also works for any mod-related content, creatures, resources, items... As long as the file is loaded by the game (specified by either active mods or map) and you can find it in /Content/ - you can load it up (of course, for items you use "giveitem", not "spawndino", but the rest works exactly the same).



Relying on numeric IDs may not be accurate - I'm assuming that the game is told which resources to load by the map/gamemode itself, so it's different for DNL_ALL and different for TheShard. Loading items/creatures via IDs may be a hit-and-miss process.

Loading items via specific Blueprint path should always work regardless of ID mismatches.

Oh, and if you feel comfortable with viewing binary files in text mode, you're more than welcome to locate the Engram that specifies the item - it'll contain the correct Blueprint path you need to use in the command. This may sometimes be necessary, as not all items will lend themselves to this method easily. For example, the Satyr / Saurinian / Gorgon special harvesters will greatly confuse you if you assume they're the ones under /Weapons. Actually, the Engram tells you that the item you want is:

/Game/TheShard/CoreBlueprints/Item/Equipment/Dal_ShardItem_WeaponHarvestHatchet.Dal_ShardItem_WeaponHarvestHatchet

rather than:

/Game/TheShard/CoreBlueprints/Weapons/HarvestWeapons/Dal_ShardWeapon_HarvestHatchet.Dal_ShardWeapon_HarvestHatchet

which you'd get by building the path manually, by assuming that it's the item under 'Weapons' (as is evident, it's not).



Word of caution: while this works for mods, there's no guarantee that the files you need will have names in them, or even have "PrimalItem" or "_BP" or whatever in them. There is no formal file naming convention for UE4 resources - these can be named whatever you want to name when when you're making the mod, and the game won't have a problem with it. The only reason you have "_Character_BP", "PrimalItem", "PrimalResource", "Consumable" etc. is because Snail makes an effort to keep them organized. Modders may not follow the same rules.

I wouldn't be surprised if you're trying to load TheShard ID on DNL_ALL, or vice versa. I think the game devs hand-craft these lists (or otherwise generate them at compile time), so I'd call it a big coincidence that these IDs ended up precisely swapped. ;-)

Yeah, you'll have to construct the proper path for the Satyr Axe. It's one of the items that isn't immediately obvious (because there's a "weapon" entry for it, but it's not the one you want).

What helps is constructing a long list of .uasset entries for you to pick from. Remember to make the correct alterations to the path.
