Best Way To Deal With Dark Wraiths?
I accidentally built my base near a meteor spawn, and now it is a bit too late to pick up and move everything. Is there an easy way to deal with these things,or at least keep them away from my base. (They also completely overan the elven starting town.) I am on single player.

yes,I have a Longhorn,Bargesh, and a Berunda. I have them in enclosures, but the Dark Wraiths just go through them.

The Wraiths wouldn't be as much of a problem if they didn't spawn so often. One or Two once in a while would be fine, but a constant mob of them around a starting area is just flat BS.

You can just run away from them. If you are near town, run them to the guards, and the guards will kill them.

At least Reapers despawn after a while. Back during the panthermageddon there would be like 8 panthers camping your corpse--good times.

The guards aren't killing them. I tried running, but the scythe throw always gets me.

If you are playing Single Player, there is an over-spawn issue at the moment, the wraiths don't seem to disappear after the meteor times out and explodes. The devs are aware of it.
I am glad it is a bug,and not an intended feature.

You could also look into building defence towers between the metorite spawn area and you.

Build it near metorite site. I normal go for 10-15 tiles(basic foundations) away, and make a tower at least 4 tiles high. If you make two several tiles apart, they can give each other cover fire. Pictute them in your mind as two "T" shaped structures, slightly angled to face each other as well as the metorite.

Outfitting them with a mix of half a dozen spell towers and ballistas on each. They will keep those darkspawn down, even on singleplayer.

Just remember to keep their ammos topped up. This of course is a lot easier on single player mode as you can spawn in the items.

Its fun to watch those towers rip the dark spawn apart :steamhappy:

not sure if it works but I have seen people put down an iron box where the asteroid hits, and then the creatures are stuck in it, and they cant damage iron. Vicious bargesh are best guard dogs imho.

If you want an easy solution, place a foundation exactly where the meteor drops. This will stop that spawn point so no meteors, no reapers, no skeletons.

why not just build a box arround meteorite so when it come all creatures are in the trap :) make some windows also then u can kill them with bow :)
