youre in the wrong game. lol jk if anything the fire dragon and the celestial dragon are the only dragons i can think of that is actually in the game atm. frost dragon is being reworked as far as i know it.

in DLC Map, only we have Celestial Dragon, and is Tamed by 7 Day Duration, after that, Tamed Pet Disapear. (SAD FACE).

IN >OLD map, well, Frost Dragon is getting Worked in this moment, so, he is NOT out., and you cANT tame. Fire Dragon i have time no see him spawming in spot. :(

But, you can Tame Wyverms and Banshees, .. so, if you Trap for 6 Hours Elite Banshee, he Transform in WINDRIDER Dragon, one of the BEST Pet in game for ALL. The Tip is, make a BIG TRAP and Magic Seal Altar (Blue Shield), then, your Structure NO get Damaged by WindRider after Transformation., then, you Tame. btw, you have to Keep on Chair while Elite Banshee is getting Transforming into WindRider, or he Scape from your Trap if you Loging OFF during the process. In Town, you can buy easy Mystical Feed and Arrows for TAme him.

If you want serious and realisitc answer: you shall become high-levelled character, go to the dragon island (you can`t miss it - volcanic island near the volcano mainland with huge dragon skeleton) and kill everyone there, wait for respawn, and kill again. After 3-5 attempts there shall spawn one fire dragon. Tame it using arrows, feed creature by mythical food and place beforehand crafted saddle to ride. P.S. Right now, despite all bugs and issues, there is no other not MMO-only game on PC, where player can tame and ride one type of dragon permanently without mods.

That is simply not true. The most obvious example being the game this one was copied off, ARK.

More obvious examples include Atlas and PixARK. But assuming you want to get away from ARK clones and Snail, then a lot of it will depend on your interpretation of the word "tame". Taming, at least in the sense of knocking out a wild AI controlled creature and feeding it meat while it's unconscious until it becomes subservient to your player character just isn't going to be found in a lot of games. It's a mechanic that isn't highlighted in other games and the "taming" is usually done by completing a quest, having the right item in your inventory or purchasing the creature. Really, riding a dragon is not what's unique... it's taming. The list of games where you can ride a dragon is much longer than the list of games where you actively participate in the taming of *any* type of creature. For that reason, when you crosscheck games that have taming with games that have dragons, your list is going to be very small.

But, if you're interested in dragons, riding them, looking for something new and don't want an MMO, you could check out the upcoming Free The Dragons game. There is no "taming" because the dragons are all imprisoned and as the last living dragon master it's your job to free them (and then obviously smite your enemies with fiery death from above):

If you are aware just ignore my recap of what happend / timeline and evidence below. But if you dont, let me hit you with some commonly known things.... :P

Ark was there way before Dark and Light and after scorched earth (released September 1, 2016) came out for ARK, Dark and Light was announced and droped next year (July 20, 2017).

Scorched Earth is the DLC that first gave us Wyverns aka Dragons in ARK, in case you dont know. Its very probable that developing Scorched earth gave them the idea for D&L and it might have been worked on at the same time (my speculation) with the original Code of ARK (see last statement of this text, for hard evidence) but still, Ark ware first and Ark had Wyverns/Dragons first :P

I watched over these two releases with eagle-eyes bc i love dragons and stuff, but i was also kinda burned out of the grinding of Ark and when i heared D&L is very, very similar (like reviews said Ark with a fantasy costume basically) and bc it was so damn explensive, i didnt buy D&L for a long while.

So yeah, Dark and Light definitely copied Ark, even had same devs if i remember correctly and their engines are so similar that (sadly) the achievements are locked/un-gettable on D&L to this day bc they earn you the ARK achievements and not the D&L ones.... bummer!

That was a rather long segway but i need to put that out there, sorry :P

2) about your console suggetions tho: isnt Scalebound long dead?
I thought it was annonced, hyped, and scrapped even before it came out :( I was waiting for it but that last thing i heared (like a year ago?) was that it was discontinued ....so did they actually finish it?!

The other games i've never heared of but i'll look them up, haha

Okay this majorly confused me bc i thought i missread 2006 for 2016 or you did but after i found out i didnt i googled and i think you mean the "proto-game" of D&L called savage horizon?

I dont think that counts though, for multiple reasons:
1) savage horizon ran from 2006-2008 and was then stomped (legal issues it seems?) and bought by snail games
2) wich transformed it and released it as a new game called "Dark and Light" in 2017 as i said.
3) ...aaaand since the code (at least from the new Game we now know as D&L) is pretty much copied from ARK (i would GUESS, seeing the Achievement issue + same Devs etc what i talked about earlier) at least in my opinion, all my arguments still stand....

anyhow, i'm not trying to pick a fight here or anything.
And you are right in the sense that i didnt know the whole story, i give you that ;)
...but, again, none of my points are invalid bc i didnt know the full story either

Feel free to add your piece if you want to say more (since you might know more that i dont) but i think i've said all i had on this (plus i dont want to derail this disscussion any more than i already have :P )
