Good luck and tame that beast.
The fact that there is really no info out there readily available to know what you need to tame things for this game is a bit frustrating. I've had to let a lvl 70 WR go yesterday because the 360ish iron hooks I had weren't enough, and then today the 145. So in the past 2 days I've wasted nearly 1k iron hook arrows. I don't know if its because I'm solo that this is frustrating, but its enough to make me not want to bother taming elites any more.
Here's a screen shot of my cage

In desperation, I actually tried a goblin club, but wasn't getting hits on it it seemed, so not sure those work on WR's at the lesat.
I do have some of the older feed amount spreadsheets that I reference, however, they don't give you any indication as to how many hook arrows are needed.
well in any case i have knocked out 2 windriders with a goblin stick a few months ago during double taming. and the goblin stick is sort of weird or buggy from what ive seen. sometimes ill see damage and is actually doing damage to it but most of the time ill hit it but there is no damage numbers to be seen. just dont rely on the stick to do all of the work. just shoot iron arrows like usual but when it runs away just whack it with the stick until it aggro's again. thats what i do.
After 195 bites of feed, it tamed out at 178. Wilderness went down pretty good, sadly.
are you on official server?
I had let it out of my trap while I was frantically trying to restock my iron hook arrow supply. Made 900, drug it back in to the trap, and it actually went down after about 200ish arrows.
