Elite Nidhogg

Ok so I just trapped an elite nidhogg, but i'm not sure how the glowing system works (saw a few clisps on youtube) if it is still in play. If anyone can shed some light on it for me, much appreciated, thankyou :)

afaik it's just sit near it and eventually (read several hours) it will turn into a windrider which you can then tame. Good luck, hope the cage is made of manor pieces.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. It is all made of stone, but I checked, its not taking any damage.

windriders do not damage iron structures as well and you can knock them out with a club if you build your cage well

i did my taming pen with wood and i use a house seal on top of the taming pen.
When it turns into a windrider, turn on house seal. It wont be able to dmg the wooden walls.
Lazy style.

If u dont want to be taming it for like 15 hours make sure u have enough cured fine (500-600). I dont know how many with mythical feeds..

Once u've caught it - it'll be 6 hours till evolve if u're within render range. Reports from my server and myself included.

If u want to go afk - make a chair. It'll sustain u from fast hunger/thirst issue. U can finish 1 movie and ur toon would stil be good.

I dont know what the difference between the glowing colors are.
But.. if its red color then it wont evolve.
So make sure it doesnt turn red color.

Do u sit outside on your chair ? Still in renderrange I guess so it evolves and u cannot be attacked, right ?

you probably will need iron hooks if you use club you use all the wilderness

yea I know, it does too much damage , but I was wondering if stone hooks would work during tame and iron only for knocking one down. but I got some in storage already, thanks. so I'm still a bit confused... nidhogs are tameable in wood cages, elite nidhoggs cannot damage iron but windrider can?

Im playing on a pve server, do house seals work , cause I cannot seem to find a way to make it active. never had one ^^

Nah! You can make The trap out of stone. The highest dps windrider We tamed did around 300 dmg on stone. Your stone trap should last for dozenz of mysticals.

As for keeping it down, If you are using mystical Feed Then u Don't need To shoot him as mystical Feed will tame it in around 1 hour. If u are Not using Feed, you can club Him using a stonehammer (dropped from goblins) or you can shoot him iron Hook arrows. Stone Hook arrows Don't work.

thanks, and how much mystical feed do I need for an elite in general? nidhogs levels are bugged so u never know, but whats the range of feed amount I would need.. dnl wiki says 400 but thats no correct value I guess. I have some mystical feed already and 150 iron hooks so far. just need to find out how much mystical I would need.

For a level 60 windrider I would say something between 60-70 pieces of feed.

oh damn ok thats a lot already.. guess I stick with cured meat or carnivore feed ( btw : is carnivore feed as useless as it is for albino/savage/vicious pets?; cause they just eat tons of it without much effect)

Any clue how big the pen should be if you want to knock it out with a club? Have been thinking about it but i don't really kno how big i should make it.

just trapped an elite nidhog. tested a normal one before . u are in melee range in a 4 tile height structure to knockout a normal nidhog. so 8x8 should be good for a windrider in width. mine is 6x16 tho ^^
