Forging Workbench help

Does anyone know what to attach this thing to? Every time I try to place it, it just says no point to snap to...I've tried snapping it to everything I can think of.

Snaps to the special obsidian/bluish fields scattered around the world they kinda look liek ore deposits but flatter and a lil more spread out about the size of a manor foundation? Not 100% sure but I think thats what you stick it on.

Saw one in middle of the plains where all the meteors spawn dunno if the spawns are static or random.

theres also one at the mouth of the river at the twin statues near the human city. didn't try the workbench however, tried to mine that bastard to no avail though lol.

another one is next to a dark altar on floating islands, they are all over the map

It lets me snap it but says it's obstructed.

The replies are much appreciated guys, I'll test it out shortly. Edit: Well I've tested it out, allows me to snap to it, but won't allow me to place it. It says "no ground or snap point" even though it does actually snap to it. Not sure why, not sure what recipes it will give either. Recipes may be not in-game yet for all I know.

One thing I did notice, was that the durability of the node was greatly diminished, like 10k/1mil durability. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

when i first got on the server after patch i found the blue weird things around the map and they were losing 1 durability every sec. went back to them later in the day still counting down. once it got to zero is shot a blue beam up i nthe sky. It also had the glowing ball like the one you get when trying to place the table. but now none of them have the glowing ball and none of them are lsing durability. this patch is buggy as ♥♥♥♥..

I do have rank 3 unlocked with forging now, still won't let me place it. And the hp of the node isn't going down anymore either, it's still stuck at 10k. May just be that node that's jacked up. Going to try rebooting my server and see if that makes a difference.

If the node is decaying I'm able to place it. hp constantly dropping.

Forging Knowledge

1. Head to the ice mountains with at least a full set of normal brimstone, warmth spell, recall spell, and a flying tame you intend to sacrifice.
2. Enter the cave entrace which is located at the end of the large bridge heading into the large ice mountain.
3. Go through the small entrance and mine ice crystal nodes. Collect as many as you can and recall out.
4. Once safe, eat 10 ice crystals to gain rank 1 of Forging
5. To progress to Rank 2, either eat more crystals or create the new forges
6. Once you have created the new forge you can power it by using Fire Essence crafted from the magic workbench(fire elemental core and magic essence)
7. Keep making more ingots(lightstone ones are easier) until you hit Rank 3
8. Once Rank3 you can craft the new forging workbench, if you need any odd looking items check the seed/herb vendor in the city or pick copper/iron/mithril for the uncommon/rare stone, kill animals for the rare/uncommon hide.
9. Now you have crafted the new forging workbench but need to place it.
10. First collect some earth, water, and air cores since you will need them to occupy soul nodes. Bring those along with the next steps.
10. Start by finding the new blue rock formation(firm foundation) located around the map(floating island next to dark alter, center of the map near the nidhog pools, in the water front side of the large human statues)
11. Now locate the Soul Node closest to the rock formation and occupy it using the earth, water, and air cores.
12. Now that you occupy the Soul Node you can place the new forging workbench on the blue rock formation(firm foundation)

This is where we are stuck... Once we placed the workbench it opens up a Forging Table(Energetic Pool) with Current Progress on the left showing Complete and Impurity. On the right is your inventory with 3 options Active, Transfer, Drop. We cannot seem to activate or transfer anything into the Energetic Pool.
