Am I missing something?
Is there a 'hide helmet' option buried somewhere in the settings that I'm missing? It's really irritating having my hair change cut/color every time I put one on.

it is irritating but there isn't a hide helmet option.

It is a survival game not a World of warcraft clone

If you hid your helmet, people would not be able to evaluate your actual armor

It is an ARK clone though and you can hide your helmet in ARK.

There is a way to do it. Take the helmet and leave it in a box. You'll see your fancy hair now. ;)
