Cold problem in the game

Iam now in the game in my house and i lit the camp fire, but its get colder and colder. i die again and again

If you're using some kind of heavy armor like copper, try switching the headpiece for one of the capes. They have much better thermal resistance.

I bet next time someone will post hot problem in the game. Stop building in places that have high or low temperature to get close to something you want or deal with the difficulty. In ark if you got too cold you build a fire. If one was not enough you build a second one. You act like a child who needs its mom to cloth him better because he is cold.

I dont think the house insulation buff is working right now. My house is in an average temp area and when its around 10-15 degrees at night the snowflake icon shows up. Going inside where the house icon shows up makes no difference. I was expecting even mild temps like that might show some sign of the house insulation having an effect but it doesnt.

Brimstone gear for the cold and icewind for the heat were the only two armour sets that didn't have their hypothermic and hyperthermic insulation values broken a few patches back. So if you aren't wearing one of these then you are equivilant to naked when it comes to temperature insulation.

Not an ideal solution but wearing some Brimstone trousers or a cape should help significantly :)

I don't think anybody gets what he's trying to say yet; fires don't warm you up and especially in a house. He built a house that when he tries to take shelter in, even with fires inside, he still dies from the cold. Houses aren't being heated and fires aren't giving warmth.

I seem to recall ark having similar issues with hot and cold, too hot beside a fire at night yet moving back a step would risk hypothermia

I generally run around in a mix of leather, brimstone and icewind gear so I'm never too hot/cold but after the patch I noticed that my food/water bar have been dropping considerably because I am getting those temperature drains now.

There is also the warm spell. I never died because of cold. If he is not able to get warm he must be close to the winter part of the map. Don't go there until you have access to make the armor that protects you from the cold.

I'm on the totally opposite of the map from the snow mountain and I've been getting cold since the patch.

thx Ronin. thats what i try to say. i freeze with -14 inside the house with camp fire . i can try find a lava pool and jump in there when its cold . so i die faster ^^

Without a few hundred points in insulation, you can't survive below -14, even inside with a camp fire and the warmth spell. You either need 2-3 pieces of Brimstone armor or to relocate.
