Fast way to get Rotten Meat?
Currently breaking it down into stacks of 1-3 in my inventory.

i was flying around on my vrock the other day, he had a stack of 90 raw meat, I was exploring the islands, volcano etc. when I landed I noticed that the stack of raw meat was now a stack of rotten meat?

Was that a bug, or is there a trick to that?

They might have duplicated Ark's vulture code for the vrocks, if they wound up fixing it since I played Scorched Earth last. Vultures in Ark accellerate meat decay quite a bit.

Might also do that cause they perfer rotten meat so maybe they left it in for that? Just woke up sooo... well it made sense to me.

I'm not criticising them for it, it's a valid move. Just commenting that if it's happening, chances are it's not a bug but an intended mechanic.

Step one kill a long horn

Step 2 separate each piece of meat to individual numbers by holding down left control and throwing them one by one in your inventory.

Step 3 wait

Step 4 profit

Kinda what I'm doing, but that sounds easier and faster, thanks.

If you want rotten meat to make fertilizer and grow crops, you are in it for the long haul, nothing about crops is quick, so you really don't need a quick way to spoil meat. With that requirement out of the way, just put a lot of meat in a stone feeding trough or in a panther (which you will want to collect the most meat) and the next day you will have more than you can use.
