Sacred Griffin

Found a Sacred Griffin today, was near the 2 Mountains with the Statue before them. Took our taming arrows and downed him (level 100 took nearly around 550 stone hook arrows) Sadly we didn't had kibble at hand so we tried raw prime meat as well as Fine cured meat, he likes the cured meat more but the Wildness still drops with a good amount. Playing on an Unofficial Server with Increased Taming rate so didnt took really long, i guess on Official it will take around 6-7 hours ca.

I`m guessing it comes from the Elite creatures. Its just a theory but i think that if a elite Griffin, Nidhog or Unicorn lives long enough ( like the quest lady says after you find a unicorn) it can Evolve into the Royal creatures. i think so because after the Sacred Griffin we had an invasion and were farming in the Plains and saw there 2 Elite Nidhogs both level 80. after aprox 40 minutes into farming we found a Windrider(level 80) exactly at the spot the first elite Nidhog was and we only saw one of the elites there as well. Like i said its just a theory but i think it all fits together

Thanks for sharing this. Now I know we can atleast down the royal creatures. I'll have to go test with some admin commands later, and see if DoTame works on royals. They don't work on elites though.

Also, there's an altar for mythical feed, where you can craft special taming food. It's in the ice biome.

No problem, yeah i know about the kibble but didnt had the materials to craft it^^ We also thought about the DoTame but in the End we wanted to try it the normal way, so if official server kibble is the way to go, we have 12x taming rate and even with prime meat and around 40 minutes taming the wildness was at ca 55-60% left

What i can tell about it after taming, it does a really high amount of damage ( with ca 230% = around 220 dmg per hit with a really fast attackspeed) but it seems it cant harvest corpses for meat ( i think that might be a bug)

We are now preparing for the Windrider, i will give more information if we downed him :)

Windrider sufferes from the same bug. No harvesting, and around the same damage numbers :)

But yeah, please let me know! The Windriders weren't even supposed to be in the game yet.

Can anyone confirm (with proof!!) that these spawn in on official as our tribe has tested countless means of doing it / messing with elites and seems like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I will chime in if I spot one in our server. It's not official, but I'm the only one with means to spawn anything, so I will know for sure, if it's legit or not.

Haven't seen anything yet though over the last week.
