i got the Golden Fleece .... but what the hell is it for :)

so after being viciously mauled to death several times by about 4 griffins, was only trying to retrieve my gear :(, i spotted this little guy. i tried to tame it but eventually it ran into some water that i couldn't chase it out of .... it died :( however it did contain 1 Golden Fleece.

anyone else find this guy and did you tame it and is there a use for the Golden Fleece?

Check the steam achievements. I believe there is one for like.. making something using it? Or something

Yeah the golden sheep spawn a lot in the elf city, I have about 6 golden fleece now.. Just sitting in my fur bin haha.

then nobody has tamed one yet? and the achievement says Craft 10 fur from a Golden Sheep ... its on the DnL official forums. no info that i could find though.

only use i found so far for the golden fleece is for a mighty cannon for your goblin airship...

I tried taming one once, with the help of a friend, and after 3 hundred arrows each we were about out of those and paitience so we killed it and saved the fleece just in case.. lol
GL taming one all I ever hear is that they are untameable.

They were tameable once. But they haven't been tameable for quite some time.

they've never been tamable, they are considered an Elite creature. Elites are not tamable.

They used to be tamable because of a bug :)

I didn't check when the OP was made, but it was recently active so I commented :D

lol no idea why anyone would necro this year old thread .... its my thread btw lol. and like i said, they were never tamable, a bug doesn't count as its not intended :P

i've had this game since day one, and ran 2 servers. i've murdered plenty of the little fuzzy bastards lol.

I have found a use for!!! its pretty sly though I'll have to admit!
It took me a while but its not noticeable at first glance.

When you put a Fleece on a tame or yourself it increases your health regeneration. Its not by a lot(not even close XD), and it doesn't activate right away. Also, don't think about putting a truckload of them on a something, it doesn't stack as far as I have seen. It also doesn't activate on a creature when riding them.

Its weird but interesting.

nar ... Seriouly! inc hp recovery! ummm well thats what it did with Jayson and his friends - healed folks - sounds sooooo plasable!

Well, If I'm being honest, it is a really pathetic hp recovery. I only wish it was something better than that. Its not really worth all the trouble XD
