Can you craft higher rarities of gear?

Hey! Anyone know how getting higher rarity gear works in this game? So far I've seen wraiths and skeletons drop a few variations on basic leather gear. Can you craft improved versions of your gear, or is your crafted gear always worse than the stuff they drop? And are there blueprints like in Ark, so you can craft more of the rare gear later?

you can only craft craftable gear. have to find the higher quality

Donating gold to vendors also lets them sell higher quality items and more of them.

cant craft it you gotta get it from wraiths and skeletons best way is to kill them in the dark invasions you get alot. I got a rare fireball lv 3 spell and a epic piece of leather gear. Its very worth

Edit: plus the meteors from the invasion have no level caps so you can just collect all the mith/iron/copper ore along with elemental cores
