I've tried the quick setup of columns and such but i still find im not fast enough. i ended up by just having patience and perseverance by cobwebing them, pumping in as much arrows as i can with the bow and following them until they land again. Not sure if my SP world spawns are borked but my entire region of my base is packed full of wyverns, vrocks, and griffins so keeping track of a very standard green wyvern hard to do. On top of that, not being able to see their levels further than 2inches made it a pain.

After one arrow session into a 100 i tracked him but lost sight because it went onto the next plateau above which was unaccessible from where we started. I ended up seeing the same color one and pumped arrows into it but then discovered it wasnt the correct one. lol

If you have a Goblin club:

Build a thatch foundation in front of it, as it walks on, sling up 3 walls, then the roof, then the last wall. Wyvern trapped.

Now jump up on top or build a ramp and start smacking it in the head with your Goblin club. Melee is messy atm so be sure to get in a position that you are seeing damage numbers.

Shouldn't be too long before it is unconcious.

How does its wildness look after that.. and how will it eat..

Hmm, if that works and it can be tamed that way and not have 0 wildness, would you even need a box I'm wondering? Since it's easy to just jump onto its back and it'll just fly off with you riding it. So you can just knock it on the head while riding.

Usually what i do is fly toward the snow part of the map, the mountain next to it, closer to the dwarven city on the water side, i always find wyverns getting stuck to the mountain, easy taming.

I have tamed a few no problems using crossbow, web spell and sheep spell. As said above, web it, pump as many arrows into it as you can as fast as you can and when it takes off cast a sheep to drop it on the ground. Re web it and repeat.

I know it's not solo, but the way I tamed my first one was to have my wife fly on a Vrock with me standing on top of it. So she could chase after it and I was simply along for the ride. The arrows can be "hooked" in the air just as well as the ground.

just go grab a nidhog. ♥♥♥♥ wyverns. they run off and their hard to shoot. Nidhogs will come at you like a griffin and have the added bonus of not needing a saddle to ride.

Just get them bugged I have tamed 5 of them and they are easy to tame, easier than vrocks at times . If you are not solo and have 1 more friend then u can build base around it .
