How to get the blue thing for the Griffin Saddle?

I want to craft the Griffin Saddle but there is some sort of a blue thingy required for it and I have no idea what it is or how to get it, any ideas?

It's called Chaos Essence. You get it with Thaumaturgy Rank 6. It requires 10x Magic Essence, 25 Lightstone and 25 Darkstone to craft one.

Whats the best way to level Thaumaturgy up?

Rank 1 is hard to get. Just keep killing stuff and harvest it with the staff. After rank 1 just craft the magic altar to get rank 2. Once you have your altar, start crafting magic essences until you reach rank 4. You need them anyway and magic shards are quite easy to come by ... at least compared to the elemental cores for the elemental essences. Save the cores you find for later leveling of thaumaturgy. You will need a lot of them. Rank 4 is easy to get, but the later ranks require some grinding.
