SLI doesn't work, so you're only using a single card. I get about 30 FPS on epic, but it's far from a steady 30 FPS. I've also found that sometimes it is steady and then it will start getting real stuttery and then even if I drop it down on high, it's terrible. Memory leak maybe?
your answer is completly wrong.
render scale has nothing to do with LODs ( level of detail of objects and stuff ) - it is a slider to that is connected to the resolution the game is rendered.
slider on the full right = 100% = 1x the resolition you set ( 1920x1080 or whatever you've set )
if you move the slider to the left more and more = 95%, 90% until i don't know 50%
this means you rendered resolution is not 1920x1080 anymore its only xx % of that.
so at some slider position you end up @ xx% and have real 1280x720 and the game looks blurry.
What upgrade would i need to my pc to be able to use the slider at max as all i can see is memory is low as GPU and CPU is fine i think?
A 1080 or 1080 Ti is more than enough for any game out there - but all UE4 games are complete garbage when we talk about optimization.
It's a new engine, a lot to learn about but everyone wants to use it.
Hold you money together, lower the shadow settings to get some fps.
There is no need to buy new CPU or GPU.
Cheers man, Im not all clue in with things pc is a year old but for games comming out this year should be fine to run anything really.
I now have 30 plus fps dont drop below cheers dude turn shadows to low.
Not just blurry it looks almost pixelate, and no you're confused, is not like the game renders the game at some resolution to then re-render it at a percentage of the original resolution, jumps straight into rendering the level of detail that fits the resolution scale, otherwise it would be a waste and redundant.
Is not like when you render 4k to then downsize it to regular HD
And yeah the higher the resolution scale the more details you see on your screen, better quality.
