Emojix is a cozy logic puzzle game. You place emoji characters on a board. Every cell has to be filled, and every character has to be happy with where it stands: friends want to touch, rivals want to stay apart, and some characters have rules of their own.

Pieces lift, bounce and land softly. Characters send hearts when they stand next to a friend, show 💢 next to a rival, sigh with relief when you fix it, and get a check mark when they are happy.

Click a piece to hear a note, or click it eight times in a row to play a full octave. Every object on the board does something when you click it: a light bulb turns off the lights, ice freezes the board, a slot machine spins its fruit. Leave the board alone for a while and the cat may come over and fall asleep next to it.

The 100 levels go through ten places, from the Meadow to the Night City. The first levels take a minute. Later ones mix several rules and take real thinking. Each place brings a new rule and its own music, and a postcard from the place tells you about the rule when you arrive.

Each level hides a secret that fits its emoji. Some are in the level stamp, the title or the move counter. Others happen after a certain move.

In level 40, unicorns gallop across a rainbow.

In level 94, put out the four candles and a ghost flies past a mirror that shows no reflection.

In level 100, the slot machines hit the jackpot.

Levels where you found the secret get a ✨, and every place counts its secrets out of ten. Can you find all 100?

When you solve a puzzle, you take a photo of it. The Polaroid develops in front of you, and you can shake it to make it go faster. Sometimes one of the characters from the main menu jumps into the shot: the cat, the bird, the star or the apple. Catch all four.

All your photos go into an album with a page for each place, a calendar for Daily puzzles, a film strip for Endless mode and a page for rare shots. Put any photo on the cover, save it to your Steam screenshots, or start a level right from its photo.

There is no timer, no move limit and no lives. Undo as much as you like and restart a level at any time. The settings are a notebook with tabs. Some of the options:

• Quick Photo Shoot, if you want to get back to the puzzles faster
  
• Click to pick up a piece instead of dragging it
  
• Reduce Motion and Camera Flash on or off
  
• Noto emoji or your system emoji
  
• Button prompts for Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo controllers

The Emojix Artbook is out too, as DLC: a 41-page book about the ten places and the characters, 52 wallpapers, and ten paper puzzles to print, cut out and solve on the table.
