Framing a User

I have been enjoying the game offline, it is really fun but I have attempted this mission type twice and have failed to do it (basically costing me 4+ hours of playtime). Both times I allowed myself to kicked off the server when failing to hack the admin password. The first time I only changed the reroute log to the person's IP that I wanted to frame, and then realised I needed to change the connection and disconnection logs too after I got caught (feeling pretty dumb). The second time I did this but still failed and I have no idea why. Can anyone explain what I did wrong or what I failed to do? Thanks

I don't think you actually need to initiate a trace to do those. I don't usually do those missions, but what I'd do is:
* Connect to the server, hack in, access admin stuff, maybe erase a file or something.
* Disconnect, and log back in (should be able to reuse the password)
* Change the IPs of the whole previous session, from connect to disconnect, to the target.
* Delete your admin access logs, disconnect and erase your proxy logs too.

That should be enough to make it work, after a longish wait.
