Controller only?

I just tried the demo for this game minutes ago and I noticed there was no keyboard support. There was only controller support. Does that mean you need a controller to play this game? Also, when I tried to look at the controller settings in-game, I got a blank page. Is this supposed to happen or is it some sort of bug in the demo version?

I don't have a controller. I don't have any controllers plugged in. I don't even own any controllers (yet).

I'm getting almost the same problem. I downloaded the demo and I'm able to control the player character using wasd and spacebar. I usually prefer to play 2D plaformers using the arrow keys for movement. I tried to access the controller settings, and I also got a blank page.

Also, I got as far as the first wooden plank. The game instructs me to press the controller "A" button, but I don't have a controller. I tried mashing the keyboard, but no other keys seem to work other than wasd and space. So I'm stuck.

Is this an issue with the demo only or with the full game as well? It looks like a really beautiful game, and it's a shame that something as simple as keyboard input is preventing me from playing it, lol.

I had the same issue....disconnected my HOTAS , exited the game and went back in...soon as the game starts , press ESC and go into controller settings from there...the controller keys are shown correctly then....

WASD ,
SPACE for jump
Down arrow to glide ,
Right arrow keys for Power 1.
Left arrow key for Power 2

Thanks for this. We (see: myself) can use this until the developers implement keyboard settings in-game.

Oh, and don't forget S+spacebar for the stomp/dive ability.

Same issue, a controller has never been plugged into my laptop once. I wanted to rebind the keyboard keys to be more comfortable.

Please get this working developers, not all PC gamers want to use a controller!

Still no word from the developers about key re-binding? This looks like a really cool game, but it's basically unplayable for me because I can't rebind the controls. It's such a simple feature for the devs to add, and it's such a dumb reason to not be able to play an otherwise great game :/

I am willing to buy this at full price since one of the developers directly addressed my concern in an email, which I appreciate very much, but I cannot buy it if it doesn't have keyboard bindings or atleast tells you which buttons to press on the keyboard because then the price of a new controller will need to come with it and I don't spend that much money lightly.

No it doesn't. Or atleast the demo doesn't. I don't know about the full game.

I didn't know you was on about the demo, the full game at last to me does tell me what keyboard keys to press, I assume the demo does not because it was forgotten?

Ah OK. That makes sense. I will try contacting the developers again and if they confirm then I may consider buying.

Dunno if it's just about the demo. On the full game I only get the A + something unknown for the quite obvious "now you've picked up someone fat break through this board" bit. And no combination of jumping and any other button does anything. I would have guessed it was a mario64-esque butt stomp, but nope. My choice is jump, or glide whilst jumped, and that's it.

Most frustrating.
(Also my fightstick can't be fully configured in the controls. It refuses to believe I have more than 6 buttons or that my joystick controls directions, so the "dpad" bit of reassingment can't be assigned to anything)
