confused about the quest Extend.

it says my quest is at 3/3 extend. it says i still need to extend, however already done so twice but quest is still gray. or does this mean i have to extend the area of my claim? in that case how do i do that? this quest is from npc Scrooge, at the bank.

Did you extend before getting the quest?

Also to increase faction you need to do the daily quest. Each daily quest gives 1 point of status point. I think you need to do 15 dailies for the second rank then it gets more and more after. You need to have chosen a faction as well. This is all from NPC Charles
