The Silberheim ECG demo on 19 October

Steam Next Fest brings you a unique opportunity to try the Silberheim ECG demo. Until the game’s release on 30 October, you can get your first taste of playing it – and earn a rare promo card.

Steam Next Fest kicks off on Monday, 19 October, at 7 pm (UTC+2). Enter the world of Silberheim and prepare for release while earning a very special collectable: the “Driftwood Trader of the West Harbor” promo card. Silberheim will remember this achievement: the card will remain yours after release and be added to your account. It will be difficult to obtain by any other means.

So the Silberheim demo is well worth a look. As we will be focusing entirely on the release of Silberheim ECG from 30 October onwards, the demo will only be playable until then. If you do not want to miss your chance to earn the promo card, we recommend marking 19 October prominently in your calendar.

How to earn your promo card

To get your hands on the “Driftwood Trader of the West Harbor”, you simply need to show a little ingenuity. The Silberheim ECG demo features the “A Friend in Need” puzzle, which rewards you with the promo card when you complete it.

You will find the scenario under “Sagas retold”. Fesk – a Silberheim character also known for getting into similarly awkward situations in our novel Daemonion[silberheim.com] – has landed himself in trouble once again. Weapons Master Beltim himself stands in his way, and you become part of this rather tricky situation. Fortunately, Fesk and you can count on Dina’s support. But with Beltim’s reinforcements approaching, you have just three rounds to win the fight.

Can you overcome the challenge?

If you can, the promo card is yours. If you do not succeed on your first attempt – or perhaps even your fifth – you can always try again. There are plenty of ways to reach your goal; you only need to find one of them.

What else you can discover in the Silberheim ECG demo

Besides the “A Friend in Need” puzzle, there is plenty more to discover in the Silberheim ECG demo. Under “Sagas retold”, a worried Captain Viss awaits your help. Under his command, you must defend the Fenn Realm against rampaging animals and beasts. There is also a Quick Tutorial, which gives you everything you need to play the demo in under 15 minutes.

With that knowledge, you can test your skills in duels against strangers, friends or our bot. You will start with a randomly assigned deck, which you can use to earn enough Flux to unlock new cards and more decks. The demo includes two of the first edition’s three factions: Fendiril’s Heirs and Trandar’s Basin. Each offers dozens of cards for creative deckbuilding, so you can already devise your first strategies and put them to the test.

If you want to take a closer look at your cards, you can explore their lore descriptions and detailed illustrations in the collection. We also promise that, by release, every placeholder will have been replaced with handmade art, created by more than 100 artists from around the world with whom we are working on the game.

When Silberheim Evolving Card Game launches on 30 October, your promo card will remain yours. You will see it again in the full game. All other progress and unlocked content will be reset so that everyone can begin the release on the same fair footing.

We welcome your feedback

Our team of 17 hopes, of course, that you enjoy the demo of our debut game, that it invites you to explore and discover, and that it leaves you wanting more. But you may also notice things we could improve, or encounter a nasty bug (most annoying!). After extensive testing, those really ought to be a thing of the past – but perhaps you will be the one to find something that has completely escaped us.

In any of those cases, our dev team is ready to listen and help on Discord. You can also send bug reports directly through the in-game options. A Wolby will make sure your report reaches our programmers, who will work on a solution as soon as they can.

We do not just welcome your criticism, feedback and suggestions for improvement – we need them. After all, this is our first time doing all of this, and we have often found that the Silberheim community knows best what the Silberheim community enjoys. So we listen.

With that, we hope you have a wonderful time with our demo, and we wish you luck earning your promo card.

See you in Silberheim.

Silberheim Evolving Card Game

Some personal suggestions after playing

There is an obvious shortage of cards in the early game, and the cards obtained from opening packs are relatively fragmented. Once new players enter PvP against real players, they can easily be crushed by an opponent's fully built deck. Many times, even if they can tell what the opponent is going to do, they have no way to respond; sometimes, just looking at the high values triggered by the opponent's Leader Skill and Nest destruction, they know the match is already lost, which is undoubtedly frustrating. ...

Silberheim Evolving Card Game Roadmap

Oct 17

With less than two weeks to go until Silberheim ECG’s big Steam release, it’s time to share our roadmap with you. Of course, release day won’t mark the end of development – it will kick off the next chapter. True to the name of our Evolving Card Game, your cards will continue to evolve, and so will the entire world and the game itself.

We’ve spent a long time working on these plans, taking your feedback into account and turning it into carefully considered next steps. And here’s what we’ve come up with.

First, though, a quick note: alongside all the milestones on the roadmap, there are plenty of other things in the works – simply too many to fit into the image. Over the coming weeks, numerous new illustrations will be added to the game, replacing the temporary work-in-progress artwork with finished pieces. We’re also setting aside time for quality-of-life improvements based on community feedback as it comes in. We’re always happy to hear your thoughts on our Discord server. We’ll also be working with you on a promo card or two…

Highlights at a Glance

Later this year, you can look forward to our first micro-DLC: “A Sign from Fate” will give you the chance to expand your card collection with fragments from the Silberheim spin-off of the same name. The Soul Mirror will also let you explore the depths of your soul – though you’ll have to discover for yourself exactly what that means.

Next year will get off to an even more eventful start. Moritura will enter the battlefield with an entirely new faction, bringing over 100 new, hand-illustrated cards. We’re also planning to finally add the long-awaited and much-requested artwork gallery to your collection. In the first official Silberheim tournament after release, you’ll have the chance to prove yourself against other souls – and perhaps rise to become the most esteemed of all esteemed souls. And if that’s still not enough, you can show off a range of unique Silberheim achievements on your Steam account.

Before the second half of 2027, we’ll follow up with the micro-DLC “Duneblight” a port for Steam Deck and tablets, and other exciting milestones, including voice acting for the heroes and a new game format. We also want to work with you on a major round of balance adjustments – and, as always, your feedback will be very welcome.

Your Feedback is very welcome

We hope you’re as excited as we are about these next big steps and look forward to seeing how Silberheim continues to evolve alongside you and through your contributions. If you have any questions or suggestions about the roadmap, join the Silberheim community and development team on Discord to share your thoughts.

See you in Silberheim.

Is Dunkelstrom the name of your AI-Opponent?

I swear, Not only did I play against Dunkelstrom for like 15 out of the last 15 matches, no matter what time I play, it also never seems to evolve the tactics and makes the same mistakes as they did 15 matches ago.

Tutorial is severly lacking

I had no idea what do, even as i read the tutorial. Even as someone who has played card games before I felt confused. At some point i got a hint saying my defense card had an offensive expansion.... okay but how to active that? eEven basic attacking isnt explained how to do, only cus i played Eternal card game/hearthstone did i know. Its a VERY open tutorial where it feels like u are just trying to figure out stuff urself as if u had skipped the tutorial. My advice for the devs, test the tutorial on someo...

How I managed to beat "A Friend In Need"

There might be other solutions to this puzzle, but I will provide mine here. Start off with 2 extra morale turn 1, then play shard vortex. This is to make killing some enemies easier, in order to prevent a fatal blow to Fesk. After that, use the small game hunter you started with on your side of the field, along with the aimed shot card in order to kill the enemy freezing town guard and spear fighter. The 2 extra morale comes in handy here, as it will let you play your wolby messenger. Keep the protector...
