Co-op Player should respawn after the boss fight TP is activated
Like, Come on. You are fighting a boss, And then you die at the very end, only to not be able to pickup the loot except your co-op partner. It's stupid.

The game already has a respawning mechanic, Why can't it trigger when the portal link of the boss fight is activated? Makes sense to me

In that way, it wouldn't be punishing for the player who died...

We all are frustrated, when we see the loot which can not get picked up.
But it's part of the game and properly balanced around it...

But that's only my personal oppinion...

The game already has a respawn mechanic for each normal room. If you weren't able to respawn in a normal room, Then I would accept this. But the fact that Boss rooms death is permanent, that's just inconsistent and rather annoying. Maybe the player that died should receive less rewards like XP and Credits if they died in a boss room?

I get the point where you are coming from. I know quite a lot players who field such arguments like inconsistency and/or unrealistic mechanics (like having to eat 10 steaks a day to get satisfied in survival games) in such discussions. In my oppinion, these are rather weak arguments, because game balance has (and should have) always priority over these arguments.

If you would be able to respawn without problems in boss fights, they would loose a lot of their (positive) tension. Players could be suicidal and simply not care if their attack would kill themselves, as well, as long as they do a lot of damage to the boss. This problem would get further amplified because their curses would get deleted, as soon as the boss would be dead, so it would matter even less, if they died a few times, or not.
One could propably change that mechanic, but to balance this enormous impact on boss fights, the developer would need to make the boss fights way more hard, than they are now.

Which would lead to a lot of people complaining and calls for... etc. etc.

I was thinking rather than not respawning in the room, maybe you would not lose your curse stacks. I mean, Even with this intentional mechanic, if you Die in a boss room, Just when the other player uses the teleporter to proceed, You will respawn on the teleporter and you can actually get the items that are around the teleporter.

But the balance issues and complains, I guess you are right about that

Yeah, being able to revive, but keep the curse(s) if you do so, could work, because the player wants it to get away and there are not so many occasions where you can heal it...
So dying would still be punishing. Although to a lesser degree.

I think it would be a good toogleable option for a run. I like options. Everyone can turn them to his liking. Possibly it could get integrated into the difficulty modifiers that are already in the game.
